My philosophy

Being a Plastic Surgeon of course requires experience, knowledge & technical expertise but it’s most important that this is coupled with compassion and an understanding of each patient and their unique needs.

Although most patients consider the surgical procedure the most critical part in their overall journey, the preparation beforehand is vital and a large part of my role before your operation is counselling you in preparation for your surgical procedure.

Whether you require reconstruction after cancer surgery or wish to have cosmetic surgery, you will most likely have a limited understanding of the details of the procedure and need caring and considered discussion with me.

I spend as much time as is needed, usually over more than one consultation and we create ongoing dialogue between you, me and my team. This provides you with the best support possible to make your decision for surgery with confidence.

At the time of surgery you are the centre of our combined care and attention. From the preparation for surgery by nursing staff, through to your discharge from my care, each step plays a significant part in your experience and my team and I are passionate about making this as smooth and comfortable as possible.
